CRITERIA FOR “FUTURES AWARD”

The criteria for making the list are twofold: First, the wine must be of exceptional quality. Second, the wine must be fairly priced. In other words they are some of the best buys in the vintage. Recognition is not given until all wines in the vintage have been tasted and critiqued. This is not meant to be a list of the ten best wines of the year but rather a signal to consumers that they are worth acquiring and cellaring.
